Speakers:

Neil A. Ambekar, Partner at Conroy Simberg

Neil A. Ambekar is a partner in the Orlando office of Conroy Simberg where he represents employers and carriers in Florida workers’ compensation matters, including appeals, subrogation issues and retaliation cases. He joined RISE in 2023 and is a member of the education committee. He is board certified in Workers’ Compensation Law by the Florida Bar. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, and was named to the “Best Lawyers in America” and a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2023. He is a member of the faculty of the Florida Bar Workers’ Compensation Forum, and authored the coursebook chapter on death benefits and mental injuries. He currently serves as an officer for four bar committees, including as vice-chair of the Florida Bar WC Rules Committee. Neil attended the University of Central Florida as an undergraduate. He received his J.D. from Florida A&M University College of Law in Orlando, where he was editor of the law review. During law school, he clerked for a statewide workers’ compensation defense firm and he has more than 15 years of experience in workers’ compensation litigation. He was born in Yeovil, England, but has resided in Central Florida since 1996.

Kim Bethke, Learning Specialist, Global Learning, Development and Diversity at AmTrust Financial Services

Kim Bethke is a Learning Specialist at AmTrust North America where she partners with Claims Leadership to provide in-person and virtual training. She has been with the Global Learning Development and Diversity department since 2016. She joined RISE in 2023 as a part of the Education and College Outreach Committee’s. She has earned her Workers’ Compensation Claim Law Specialist and Fraud Claim Law Specialist designation in pursuit of SCLA designation. Kim received her Bachelor of Arts from Covenant College in Business, Psychology and Sociology. Kim has over 25 years of experience in Worker’s Compensation handling claims for large national accounts, TPA’s, & Supervisor experience prior to her current role. She is originally from Virginia and has resided in Florida since 2002.
